Meet Mrs. Martha Greene

I married my dearest in 1977. I've learned many lessons on my journey striving to be the keeper of my home and helpmeet to my husbanddear for 31 years. We have been more than blessed with 11 children that are so precious to us - 8 boys and 3 girls. Currently (2008) the oldest is 29 and the youngest is 9. We don't have a prefect family by any stretch of the imagination but try to live by God's Word. Our children bring us joy unspeakable and heartaches hard to bear. I'm still learning daily the joys and sorrows of motherhood. I am a grandmother (Marmee) to my GRANDS and our family is growing by leaps and bounds as our children are growing up up up and we are gaining daughters-in-laws and sons-in-laws.
Life is very busy but simple for us. We love our country life and love to roam on our 130 wild acres. We chose homeschooling for our children way back in the early '80's, but since I myself was homeschooled for K-at home on the missionfield in Bangladesh(my parents were pioneer missionaries there) it wasn't a novel idea. But I did some major bucking when my husband presented me with the idea! I've had much to learn and God knew what I needed to teach me my LifeLessons!
My husband has been working for a long while now with our boys to build us a home on our hilltop on the WILD acres. Doing it all from scratch and bit by bit as we have the money has been a test of my contentment and patience. I'm learning daily and am not sure when I'll ever graduate from God's School of Lessons. I do know that when He ( the Lord Jesus) shall appear, I will be like HIM for I shall see HIM as HE is! What a thought!
I love to share and inspire other homemakers with things I have learned on my journey. This mentoring program has been a thrill for me! I just love sharing with all of you. I love putting on paper lessons to help you and inspire you. I always try to bless you all with the lesson on my heart and then I always get blessed back with all your comments and enthusiasm.
