In our very first HMM lesson, (we began in January of 2008) I gave instructions on to to really clean one of the most important rooms of your home - the Master Bedroom. I realized that we had a big group of ladies from all sorts of lifestyles and even from all parts of the world that had joined us. I knew some of their homes were simple and maybe even small and some were probably lavish and luxurious — but that all of us needed to make this room a hallowed place for ourselves and our husbands….a place to rest, relax and fellowship with your dear one!

I was sooo overwhelmed by the response we got from the lesson. The ladies dove right in and followed it step by step. We had so much fun discussing it on our private member’s forum. I think we ended up with over 150 posts on this one lesson!

I had to encourage them as to what memories someone would have if they were staying in "your bedroom" for the night?

We talked wall colors, shared ideas, and everyone did a great job on this lesson!  We are so proud of all of you - you are doing a wonderful job in your homes and remember the most important things you will ever do are inside the walls of your OWN home! LOVE!!

"Well, let me tell you how my husband reacted: First of all he works at home and was wondering what I was up to. I took everything out and put stuff in the hall way. And DH decided to help me! We took the bed apart and cleaned underneath and all the furniture. He helped me take down the curtains, I washed and ironed them. I cleaned the fan and washed all the doors with Murphy’s Oil, (never used the stuff before) while he kept cleaning all the dust away, I even washed my rug! We were working together and we both kept saying this will be nice. After all the dust was gone and cleaned away, DH went back to work. I cleaned the bathroom, changed all the light bulbs put a candle in there. Oh, I also put a small CD player of my daughters she didn’t use in my bedroom and put on some soft music. I haven’t done that before. I redecorated put clean sheets on; curtains are all clean and crisp and, I put a vase in my room with a fresh rose from my garden also added a plant on my husband’s dresser. Everything is so nice and clean and relaxing. My husband was so happy…..We sat in our room the rest of the night and read and listened to music, while discussing a new color on our Master Bedroom! One more funny and glorious thing, I forgot to change our alarms clocks and this morning we slept in our new cozy bedroom.
