What's New
November at the HMM
about where everyone lives, and discovering that we are located all over the country! We may feel alone in our home town, but we can find the support of other homemakers through this marvelous thing called world wide internet.
Martha also shared her way of making coffee taste like a $4 cup... it is wonderful! The amount of money I will save in coffee alone will pay for the price of admission!
The first November lesson taught us the lost art of mending our families clothing. What a skill to have! These types of skills are lost in our culture of inexpensive clothing. We will need to know these types of things
more and more as budgets get tighter and tighter. If you have not yet joined the Homemaker's Mentor group, do so before the end of the month! Martha will share with us how to bake sourdough bread shared from the Kendall ladies whose sourdough starter is over 20 years old!! and also Deb Allen's soaked grain method, and whole wheat no knead rolls from Martha. What better aroma to fill our homes with when snow is causing s to remain inside? I can just taste the steaming thick homemade soup and fresh-baked bread... yum, yum.
